Parent.Care is a mobile application what can monitor kid’s cell Phone activities like Messengers, Screen time, Internet, Locations and much more.

In an ideal world, the web would be a safe space for kids. Unfortunately, that is far from reality, and as a busy parents, it is not possible sometimes for parents to be there while your children are online. This is where parental control mobile application could help — by allowing parents to block access to some websites or messengers that may have concerning content, or only permit access to websites you think it is really suitable, this mobile application could help protect your kids.

Project Background

Parental control apps allow you to limit how much time your child spends online, restrict access to certain apps or websites, and keep track of where your child is. Parent.Care can be integrated with a bunch of messengers and other applications what allows to control content what child can use during the day.

Challenges

The main challenge is to create user-friendly mobile application that would help parents of a controlling their children. After a long discovery phase and narrowing findings I discovered that almost all the users (parents) can not switch between their children in an easy way while using another similar applications for parents. Also, our users had similar pain-points with regards to comfortability in their way to work or in the transport where they can not switch to another child in similar parental control mobile app immediately.

◆ Complicated (Some similar parental mobile applications don't have an onboarding guide what is a little bit complicated for understanding the functionality of the application)
◆ Confusing (Similar mobile applications are not intuitive. In order to find some important actions in mobile application take a lot of time and without logic)

Research & Analysis

I conducted several interviews in order to understand some pain points of our users. The goal was to understand user’s expectations of a mobile parental application. Based on interviews, persona has been created.
